More Search Engine Query Action
So last week I shared with you some of the more interesting search engine queries this little blog was getting.
Well this week the interesting search engine queries have continued. While the Google spider was quick to eliminate Peter Laurent dot com from the ranks 15th “best looking site” on the internet after my last post it is now places number 10 on the first page of google. The love Google is giving me for being the “best looking man” has diminished with me going as high as number 6 mid last week and now dropping back to number 19. Perhap Google is upset that I’m just not that interested in spiders unless they give me favourable rankings.
I have now also moved up in the rankings for the keyword “best looking” being on the third page but now having dropped back. It seems my Derek Zoolander ambitions are slowly coming to light. I also was ranked number one for the phrase “man guarding Brisbane” which is rather appropriate giving me iron fist like rule over some of Brisbane’s most useless keywords. I even managed to redirect some traffic for that keyword pairing. Overall the traffic last month to this little blog was double what is has been since December 2007 when I changed servers. This is proof that the users of Google are digging the awesome content on this blog, although I was a little upset that I got some visits from the keyword SEO sblog.
I even got some traffic for the query Bruce Clay and I wouldn’t be surprised if the same person that came for Bruce Clay also came for the keyword SEO sblog. Although I was suprised to be ranked highly for the more serious term of “concepts in enterprise resource planning”.
Over the coming weeks and months I will turn my attention to ranking for some more useful GEO related terms in the Brisbane region as well as for my last name Laurent. While I don’t mind Google thinking I’m good looking, given the amount of favourable results he has given me I just hope Google is straight, I mean they are based just out of San Francisco!
Until next time, keep looking good Brisbane!
